Elizabeth Childs, M.S., CCC-SLP
"All kids need is a little help, a little hope, and someone who believes in them"
~Magic Johnson
Elizabeth began working at CARE in January 2023 and provides speech and language therapy for the Early Intervention Birth to Three program in McKean County, as well as providing services to school-aged children in the Bradford School District.
Throughout her career, Elizabeth has worked in many different settings, including: nursing homes, hospital, schools, early intervention, and an outpatient pediatric therapy setting. She has worked as a traveling therapist, as well as in long-term placements. Her most recent, previous employment was working with the geriatric population in a rehab and nursing home setting here in Bradford. As much as she enjoyed this, Elizabeth was excited to again focus on providing services to the pediatric population.
Elizabeth received her Master of Communication Sciences and Disorders degree in 2005 and her Bachelors of Communication Sciences and Disorders degree in 2004 at Clarion University of Pennsylvania. She is also a member of the American Speech and Hearing Association. She resides in Bradford with her husband Jeremy and their two boys.
