Northwest Bank Makes Contribution to Preschool Scholarship Fund at CARE for Children

Northwest Bank recently made a $5,000.00 contribution to CARE for Children Rainbow Corner Preschool to fund preschool student scholarships.  The preschool is an approved Pre-Kindergarten Scholarship Organization, through the State of Pennsylvania’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC).

Norm Strotman, senior vice president, commercial lending at Northwest Bank, visited with Rainbow Corner Preschool students at the Ashley Booth Griffin CARE for Children Center playground on Tuesday.  Pictured from left are Kimberly Engstrom, M.Ed., preschool director, students Lincoln Simonds and Temperance Costik, and Strotman.

Simonds, age 4, is the son of Amanda Evan and Joshua Simonds of Bradford, and Costik, age 5, is the daughter of Tiffany Ott and William Costik of Bradford.  Strotman currently serves as a member of the CARE for Children Board of Directors.

Contributions made through the EITC program help CARE provide tuition to eligible Pre-Kindergarten students to help offset the cost of tuition, making early learning more accessible and affordable for working families.  Northwest Bank’s contribution will help fund scholarships for the 2023-2024 school year.

CARE for Children Rainbow Corner Preschool is located at the Ashley Booth Griffin CARE for Children Center in Bradford.  The preschool is licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education and the daily schedule is aligned with Pennsylvania Early Learning Standards.  For more information, please call CARE for Children at 814-362-4621 or visit the early learning page at www.careforchildren.info
